After all, I would never want to be stuck somewhere without my seven pennies or Happy Meal toy.
Ever since, I've loved Scottie dogs... and they just seem so Christmas-y to me.
Since I'm participating in an online gift exchange over at Craftaholics Anonymous (and the recipient of my gift said she collects Scotties...ooh I want to do that), this is what I came up with.
I found a traceable pattern at Allsorts, here. Note that this is for felt--no seam allowances.
Instead of making a 3-D dog, I opted for a simple 2-D ornament.
I used miniature buttons for eyes, added a ribbon leash and finished him off with a felt Christmas rose.
Little guy, you are not going to be easy to part with.
That's it.
I'm getting my purse back out.

Scottie dogs have always said "Christmas" to me too... I had a little black and red plaid scottie dog vest when I was little that I wore all during the holiday season. I featured you today on my ornament round up :)
